The Links Between ADHD and Diet
Recently there has been a lot written and spoken about the links between human diet and the prevalence of ADHD. Quite a few of the commentators are drawing a link between nutrition and the occurrence of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in both children and adults. This is not just about when the condition starts for someone, it is also about managing the nutrition of a patient to control it when it manifests itself. Avoiding food items like refined sugars and food additives have been spoken about for some time, but now there is an additional focus on testing for food allergies, food sensitivities and for monitoring a lack of fatty acids in the blood stream. More and more research is being produced which links some of these food items to problem behaviors in children of all ages. Many people in the community are turning to remedies like Synaptol and are amending diets rather than adopting traditional approaches.
